Things are heating up between Halle Bailey and her ex, rapper and YouTuber DDG, as their messy split turns into a full-blown legal showdown over their 17-month-old son, Halo.

The couple, who ended their relationship in October 2024, have been caught in a storm of serious allegations from abuse claims to emotional breakdowns and now, fresh court filings.

Halle, 25, opened up earlier this year about her battle with postpartum depression, describing it as “severe” and admitting that even brief separations from her baby triggered intense anxiety.

Since then, tensions between the two have escalated. Halle was granted a restraining order against DDG, alleging a pattern of physical, emotional, and financial abuse. In a court filing, she recounted a violent incident involving a struggle over their son’s car seat, claiming DDG slammed her face into the steering wheel, chipping her tooth.

Now, DDG is firing back. In a recent emergency motion, he requested that Halle be barred from taking their son out of the country specifically to Italy for a planned vacation. He also sought his own restraining order against the Little Mermaid star, alleging that she poses a psychological risk to Halo due to “repeated, documented threats of self-harm.”

To support his claims, DDG submitted alleged text messages from Halle that suggest she was in emotional distress and asking for help with their son requests he says went unanswered. He further claimed that in one alarming moment, Halle took his gun and left the house, and that he later found her outside, “incoherent” and “potentially suicidal.”

Despite these serious allegations, a judge has reportedly denied DDG’s request for a restraining order against Halle.

With both sides now making explosive claims, the custody dispute over baby Halo is far from over and all eyes are on what comes next in this emotional legal saga.
